Ha Long Bay

Ha Long Bay is the focal point of a bigger zone including Bai Tu Long toward the upper east and Cat Ba islands toward the southwest. It was perceived as World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1994 and recorded in the New 7 Wonders in 2012.

History and Tales:

While Hanoi's old name is Thang Long (Ascending Dragon), Halong truly implies Descending Dragon. Furthermore, in the same way as other Vietnamese towns' names, Ha Long Bay has the inception from a legend. Sometime in the distant past, Vietnam was attacked soon after they began building the nation. The Jade Emperor sent Mother Dragon and her Child Dragons down to help Vietnamese individuals. The mythical beasts discharged from their mouths many pearls, which then transformed into a large number of stone islands developing in the ocean like extraordinary dividers ceasing the trespassers' vessels.

These water crafts collided with the islands and broke into pieces. Vietnamese won the fight because of the dubious combat zone. After the triumph, the monsters chose to remain on the straight and the pearls still remained. The area that Mother Dragon landed is then called Ha Long Bay and where Child ones slid is Bai Tu Long Bay.

Climate

The yearly temperature of Ha Long straight is 22.8 Celcius degree, reasonable for vacationers to travel lasting through the year. The best time to visit is from March to August, in light of the fact that amid this time, voyagers have the opportunity to shoot colorful photographs with blue sky and ocean as smooth as factory lake. It's shady and stormy in pre-winter and crisp in winter. Particularly, the period amongst August and October is the tropical storm season.

What to do

Guests to Ha Long shouldn't miss Bai Chay shoreline (Scorched Beach – near the bank of Ha Long Bay), whose sand is dull. Individuals frequently erroneously imagine this is because of the atmosphere or absence of twist around there. Nonetheless, the climate here is very lovely and the temperature is around 22oC. From Bai Chay, you can enlist a vessel and go out to the straight, where you will discover some of Southeast Asian most captivating limestone islands. Taking a journey trip around Halong is one of the most ideal approaches to encounter the magnificence of the Bay (More about cruising in Halong Bay).

The limestone arrangements are both odd and magnificent. They are Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace Cave) - 4km from the wharf outside of Ha Long City, Dau Go (Wooden Stakes Cave) – 8km south of Bai Chay, Bo Nau (Pelican Cave) , Trinh Nu (Virgin Cave) – 15km south of Bai Chay, in the island scope of Bo Hon, in the framework contained Sung Sot (Surprise Grotto), Dong Tien Lake and Luon Grotto, and so forth.

Other than Ha Long Bay, there are Mong Cai – the fringe city with China (visas probably been sourced in your nation of origin), Cat Ba Island, Hai Phong City and Tuan Chau Island – a recently created visitor resort. One can spend in the vicinity of 3 and 5 days going by and encountering the magnificence of the Bay.

Hanoi free tour guides old quarter

- Tour's name: HN old quarter + french quarter (half-day)
- Guests: Anne and her husband, Alann
Anne's the English teacher for little kids while her husband's a university lecturer as well as a bank officer in HSBC. They have married with 3 sons for over 30 years. We leaded them to the railway track due to Anne's demand. This's because, they love sitting in a coffee shop nearby to catch sight of the incoming train. But a train only came in the late night and at dawn. Thus, it's impossible to see the train at that time. Then, we moved to HN train station in order for them to book a ticket from Hue to Da Nang. On the way to DX market, Anne was amazed when she saw the funeral flowers, dog meat or some advertising papers of Grab Car :)). In this market, Anne said it looked like Ben Thanh market. She shown off about her bargaining ability. She had bargained the price of T-shirt from 600k to 100k in BT market. Woa!!! After that, we went to Hang Duong str. to try some fried fruit. I told her to buy some as souvenirs to her sons, but she would like to eat on her own.. so funny! They bought 2 packets of this specialty. Eventually, we came into a hidden coffee shop at No.11 Hang Gai str to enjoy beverage there. I and Alan discussed more about banking and finance, which is our major. He said that one of difficulties that some European banks have to face up with was capital. Moreover, Alan recommended some specialized magazines such as Economist or Financial Times to me. It's kind of him to explain about "treasury", which is a financial term, to me. He also asked about big banks in Viet Nam. Surprisingly, Alan gave me a pen, that's carved of his university's name in, as an unforgettable gift. At the end of the tour, we exchanged our Instagram accounts and hugged to say farewell.

Tour name: Hanoi streetfood.26-02-2017 at 5.30pm.

Tour name: Hanoi streetfood.
Date: 26-02-2017 at 5.30pm.
Guest: Lauren Rempel.
It's been a long time I haven't given any tour, so it's my first tour of 2017 :D
It was an awful day for me but the streetfood tour was very nice. I went to her hotel around 5 pm. After waiting for her, we met each others and said "Hello". I told her about the schedule and we started the tour. It was her first day in Hanoi and she was curious about the food and VNese culture...
She's an English teacher and she had been lived in Korea for 2 years. She said that it was very different between Asia and Europe and she had to learn how to live in a new country and it was not easy.
We went to try "Bánh cuốn" first and at that restaurant, we talked a lot about my sad story today :v Then, we kept going to Lý Quốc Sư street to eat some cakes and she really loved it. During the tour, we talked about many things, especially Love. I also showed her some French constructions around the lake and we went to Nguyễn Hữu Huân street to drink coffee then finish the tour.
It was nice tour and Lauren is very friendly.
